About Lace
When not working on recipes in her kitchen, cranking up her overused commercial (yes, you read that right) oven at home, Lace can be found reading about food, writing impassioned paragraphs about recipes, thinking about dishes till the wee hours of the night, shopping for groceries as a competitive sport, or gazing longingly at bakery displays.

She is the author of the award winning [Best Family Cookbook SG, 2019] "Three Dishes One Soup – Inside the Singapore Kitchen" and "Around the Dining Table – An Asian Inspired Modern Feast". An avid baker and home cook, her first foray into the kitchen world was through baking, a passion that was uncovered during her days at Singapore Management University, where she spent her lectures voraciously devouring recipe sites on her laptop. She launched a successful cupcake business "Baked by Lace" during her undergrad days, which was one of the first few online-based bakeries to pop up back in the day. (Facebook, anyone?)
Despite taking a break from the food industry after she graduated, she was somehow led back to it through her books, and this unleashed the floodgates to a lifelong obsession with eating, creating, learning, and writing about food. As they say, all roads lead to...​
Along the way, she has also launched a chocolate cake and tart business, and worked with household names like SMEG & Kellogg's. She will also be launching her own range of aged soy sauce in December 2024.

Lace’s work has been featured in Wine & Dine, Female, Women’s Weekly, Sunday Times, and CNA Lifestyle, and she has collaborated with brands like SMEG, California Grape Association, Barilla, and Kellogg’s.
